WHO WE ARE
Pathkeepers is a Christian STEAM + PE based homeschool co-op for kids age 4 - 12 years old. Our mission is to provide a space to foster community, friendship building, teamwork, cooperation, and group play, while ultimately pointing our children to Christ!
Our guiding verse is Proverbs 22:6 -
Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

WHAT
Our time together is divided into two main components: a STEAM lesson and PE time. Kids are split into three age groups (ages 4-5, 6-7 and ages 8-12) to flip flop between STEAM and PE time. A typical co-op day will look like this:
Group Time
A group devotional and announcements
STEAM Lesson
We use the Science with Friends curriculum as the basis for our STEAM lessons. Kids will learn a science concept, do an experiment, record their findings and make a Creator connection. For the 2025-2026 school year we're learning Weather, Astronomy, Geology and Engineering. Learn more about the Science with Friends curriculum and download sample lessons HERE.

We'll read a living book that goes along with the STEAM lesson while the kids enjoy a snack.

AGES
This co-op is open to kids ages 4 to 12 years old. Kids are split into age groups (4-5 year olds, 6-7 year olds and 8-12 year olds).

4-5 Year Olds (12 spots)
Ages 4-5 will enjoy a teaching time that includes a group experiment tied to the co-op’s division of science study.
The use of books, songs, crafts and games will enhance their learning time. All of the ideas will be linked back to our creator and tied to a bible verse for the semester.

6-7 Year Olds (20 spots)
Ages 6-7 will learn science concepts with dynamic teaching and hands-on experiments. They will learn to hypothesize and record their findings through copywork and drawing. Teamwork, problem solving, and presentation skills will be encouraged. Each lesson concludes with a scripture reference and Creator Connection.
8-12 Year Olds
Ages 8-12 (20 spots) will learn science concepts with dynamic teaching and hands-on experiments. They will have the opportunity to brainstorm, hypothesize and record data on their student notebook pages. Teamwork, problem solving, deductive reasoning, crititical thinking and presentation skills will be encouraged. Each lesson concludes with a scripture reference and Creator Connection.

Childcare
Childcare is offered each semester. If you'd like childcare for your younger children while you're teaching or volunteering, you can sign up to teach or volunteer on the weeks that childcare is available.
There are also two children's ministry rooms (filled with fun toys) and a playground available for younger or older siblings to play while supervised by a parent or caretaker during co-op times.
